America Shoots For Her Troops Presents
Socks for Heroes LCPL Donald J Hogan Invitational
Since February 28th of this year, America has been at war with Iran. While it has ebbed and flowed, we are at war nonetheless. Since that time, Socks for Heroes has shipped over 60,000 pairs of socks to American serving in that conflict in places like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and the Marines and Sailors on the Amphibious Ready Groups.
Due to a “perfect storm” of extended deployments and the shortages of supplies in-theater, we continue seeing increased requests for support. We could use your support to help us meet this need.. As a result, we’re happy to announce our next event, the second annual LCPL Donald J Hogan invitational on Sunday, October 11h from 7am-12pm at Camp Pendleton.
This shoot will be limited to 100 participants.
We’ll be sending rounds downrange to raise money for us to send socks overseas to help the men and women who serve our Nation as they stand the watch.
This will be somewhat more relaxed format than our standard event. We’ll be shooting rifles only, and at a distance, with targets from 25 yards to 500 yards.
Here are the firearms we’ll be shooting:
Sig Sauer MPX Carbine - 9MM
Kriss Vector Carbine - 9MM
Sig Sauer 516 Patrol Rifles (2) - .556 Caliber
HK MR 556 – the civilian version of the Marine Infantry Assault Rifle - .556 Caliber
